Sielunvihollinen "Syvyydestä (Compilation)" (2014) [Review. English / Russian]

Sielunvihollinen declared itself in 2012 by releasing demo "Musta Uni". Less than in a year another demo, "Ruttokieli", appears. Both demos were released on tape and the compilation "Syvyydestä" includes both of them. "Syvyydestä" will interest those, who don’t like tapes, as it’s released on CD, where the sound is better, it’s balanced and not so loud. I own the releases, so I can hear the difference.

Finns can pervert Black Metal in a good sense, of course; there’re so many good bands in Finland. Sielunvihollinen has here everything what is needed: raw sound, great melodies, satanic and anti-islamic lyrics. A classic set, but only on the first look. The guitars are as raw as they have rotten in a swamp, the riffs make dark, foggy atmosphere and the melodies of Sielunvihollinen are catchy. I would rather say that Sielunvihollinen is a some kind of an answer to Satanic Warmaster as we can here Disco Black Metal, so to speak, from both of them and Sielunvihollinen wins here. I like this positive atmosphere of Sielunvihollinen.
